Tested and approved according to EN ISO 16321-1. Benefits: As the spectacle arms are attached directly to the inner shell or directly to the headset, the sealing cushion of the hearing protection remains fully in contact with the head. This design prevents the spectacle arm from creating a pressure point or a gap that could compromise sound insulation. The angle and length of the spectacle arms are adjustable, the lenses can be tilted in two positions relative to the spectacle arms, and the nose bridge can be adjusted to the size of the nose. A practical feature is that our prescription lens insert can be clipped directly onto the nose bridge. The glasses can be parked under the helmet shell for protection against dust and scratches. They are compatible with both the PROTOS® and the headset.

I just didn’t hear the warning call “Timber!”. In September 2018, as I often do, I was doing some forestry work in the dense spruce forest when, out of nowhere, a tree weighing over a ton, hit me from behind. The emergency team was quite surprised to find that I was still conscious in view of my serious injuries.
At the hospital, the situation seemed dramatic – severe fractures of the shoulder, vertebrae, pelvis and legs, and a level 1 out of 3 traumatic head injury. However, what the doctors could hardly believe was that despite the severe blow to the back of my head, there was not a single bone fracture in my head and no injury to my cervical spine. The PROTOS® Forest protected me from this and thus saved my life.
After several operations and months of rehabilitation, I went to Koblach and handed over my destroyed head protection to the PROTOS® team. The fact that I was able to walk again without a walker is just incredible.
