The PROTOS® Arborist is the premium model within the PROTOS® system and was specifically developed for tree climbers, forestry professionals, and arborists. It is suitable for work at height, overhead operations, and ground-based tasks alike.
The fully integrated design of the helmet shell, visor, hearing protection, and chin strap reliably prevents snagging on branches or other obstacles. All relevant standards and requirements for tree climbers are met or exceeded.
The result is a high-quality arborist helmet that combines maximum safety, outstanding wearing comfort, and full operational readiness.

I just didn’t hear the warning call “Timber!”. In September 2018, as I often do, I was doing some forestry work in the dense spruce forest when, out of nowhere, a tree weighing over a ton, hit me from behind. The emergency team was quite surprised to find that I was still conscious in view of my serious injuries.
At the hospital, the situation seemed dramatic – severe fractures of the shoulder, vertebrae, pelvis and legs, and a level 1 out of 3 traumatic head injury. However, what the doctors could hardly believe was that despite the severe blow to the back of my head, there was not a single bone fracture in my head and no injury to my cervical spine. The PROTOS® Forest protected me from this and thus saved my life.
After several operations and months of rehabilitation, I went to Koblach and handed over my destroyed head protection to the PROTOS® team. The fact that I was able to walk again without a walker is just incredible.
